This month, we are highlighting a team member from our Indian office – Vandna Tinani. She is the Accounts & Admin Manager and has been a key player in developing internal procedures for the Indian market.
What drew you to your role at CCTY?
I was attracted by the opportunity to blend operational administration with financial stewardship—roles which let me coordinate workflows, manage budgets, reconcile accounts, manage taxation, audits, and support strategic decision making. When I learnt about CCTY’s dynamic growth, desire for continuous improvement, and collaborative culture, it became clear this was an environment where I could make a tangible impact.
Which aspect of your job brings the most satisfaction?
I find greatest satisfaction in turning complex data into insight whether it’s delivering timely and accurate financial reports, streamlining approval flows with CCTY’s Headquarter Finance team, or improving cash flow visibility. Seeing how my work enables smarter decision making, reduces costs, and improves efficiency gives me utmost satisfaction.
Can you share a recent situation where you successfully simplified or improved an internal process? What was the outcome?
I led the successful implementation of the e-invoice system, streamlining invoice generation and compliance processes. I was also instrumental in introducing half-yearly audit process instead of full-year audit, which helped our company increase financial accuracy and strict compliance. This included statutory audit, tax audit, transfer pricing audit as well as GST audit.
Please share a customer/internal stakeholder success story where your financial or administrative work directly supported a business result.
I partnered with sales leadership to provide early warning on clients nearing their credit limits via reconciled aging reports. This enabled timely upselling or negotiation before delivery delays occurred, ultimately protecting revenue and improving cash flow management.
What core skills and personal qualities do you believe are essential for someone excelling in accounts and administration in a fast-moving organization?
Core hard skills: accounting proficiency, financial analysis, forecasting, Excel/ERP software use, budgeting and compliance knowledge.
Qualities: Attention to detail, analytical mindset, time-management, proactive communication, and a strong oversight to prevent errors before they occur.
How do you stay organized and ensure accuracy when balancing multiple deadlines, budgets, and compliance requirements?
I rely on dashboards and metrics: I track weekly/monthly progress, upcoming deadlines, variance thresholds, and error rates. I develop systems and checklists for recurring tasks, schedule regular reviews, and set goals for targets like closing timelines and payments.
What’s something about CCTY’s culture that keeps you motivated? How do you envision our accounts and admin function evolving over the next few years at CCTY?
CCTY India business is currently focused on supply-chain management, engineering support and business development. CCTY is aiming to grow and expand operations in India with addition of functions like manufacturing, local sourcing and export services. This increased scope will require accounts and admin function evolving towards real time financial visibility, automation of routine tasks, and deeper integration with business systems and processes.
My role will focus on leading process transformation—implementing scalable ERP workflows, embedding data analytics into reporting, standardizing cross-functional collaboration, and continuously refining controls and procedures to support growth.
